If you do come by ferry to Paquera, you can then drive toward Playa Tambor. On the way you will pass the small Tambor airport which is the fastest way to reach the Peninsula using local airlines like SANSA. You continue past the entrance to a Barcelo Hotels resort and the Los Delfines gated community until Playa Tambor which offers some quaint boutique hotels in the nearby area and an expansive beach that is very popular with local families on the weekends. Continuing onward you go past the entrance to Tango Mar, a luxury residential which also has a high end hotel at Playa Cocal. As you continue on this road you reach the town of C ó bano which has a bank and gas station and supermarkets among other amenities. Here you can turn left to follow a road that leads to Montezuma beach, a laid back small beach town with several restaurants, bars and hotels and a mellow vibe. You will find several boutique hotels in Montezuma and on the road to it from Cobano. I stayed at the Finca Los Caballos hotel and it was really nice in many respects and with good food & good prices. Continued on next page
