Some of the many advantages that Costa Rica can offer are being just under 3 hours from Southern Texas or Southern Florida which makes it easy to go back and forth if necessary. Many of the things that make Costa Rica such an attractive place to visit or to relocate to also make it attractive as a “Prepper ´ s Paradise.” Just that for this use the beaches would not be recommended locations for various reasons. Costa Rica is basically a neutral peaceful country with no military, and a stable Democratic Government since 1948, so it is not a place that is targeted by nuclear strikes, biological or terrorist attacks or EMP ´ s (Electromagnetic Pulses). It is also not a gun loving culture so you will not find more guns than people here. Added to that is the World Class quality of its Medical and Dental Services. Plus, there are many areas highly suitable for farming and keeping poultry and other livestock. It is also a country that has plenty of water in the inland off grid areas that would be most suitable for a Prepper and his family, and which offer reasonable prices for good land from which to choose.
