Costa Rica´s Best Guide
time to try and regain my lost Costa Rican childhood and upbringing, but I only saw that with different eyes, the eyes of an experienced person in many fields and walks of life who was not the young boy that had left Costa Rica so many years ago. During Junior High in Los Angeles, I met my current business partner Hernan Carazo. Like me, he is also Costa Rican and also moved to California at a very young age. I clearly remember when we both shared a unique experience in Miami FL. We were both taking the same government class and were chosen and invited to attend the Republican National Convention in Miami in 1978 representing Hispanic Youth. During my college years, I fell in love with advertising graphics, designing, business administration, in reality with anything I could get my hands on to grow my overall knowledge. My teachers and instructors were some of my best friends. It was four hard years. l finally graduated from Cal State University with a BA in Art and a minor in Business Administration. I got married that same year, 1978 and had four beautiful children. Two sons and two daughters. After a few years of struggling, my oldest son Erik, became an engineer for Boeing in St. Louis, MO. After improving the helmet mounted system for the F-16 and F-17 fighter jets, about 10 years ago, he was named the best Hispanic Engineer in the entire United States.
