TAXIS and UBERS
You can take the orange airport taxis which also offer taxi vans and are located just to the right of the exit from the airport. You could call an UBER but they are not allowed in the airport so you would need to walk 1 block down to the main street near the bus stop to get picked up. You can catch a BUS to SAN JOSE if when you exit you go left and then down one block and turn right for about half a block and you will see the bus stop. They charge in Colones (CR currency) but will probably accept 1 or 5 dollar bills if they are in perfect condition. Most major Rent a cars have Vans to pick up customers to take them to their nearby rental facilities. Some can be found inside the ground floor parking structure across from where you exit the airport and some will drive by, just check with your car rental office for exact pick up spot.
