Mateo, at 10 years old, is the youngest member of BMZ

In an attention getting presentation that elicited praise far and wide, the Municipal Band of Zarcero offered a well rounded presentation that offered music, dancing and colorful costumes representing the Boruca Indian culture. This was the second presentation of the Band at the World famous Tournament of Roses Parade, having first participated in 2020 and currently invited to audition for the 2028 edition. General Director of the Band, Elesban Rodriguez was the first International Director to win the prestigious Michael D. Sevell Award which recognizes dedication to Youth and Community. The Band also gave the best ever presentation in the history of Band Fest (according to the organizers), this is a participating bands showcase held a couple of days previous to the Parade, at Pasadena City College.
