on your adequate planning and the choices, you make. Even for the Visitor this cost could be important if they want to keep costs down and they are staying in a place with cooking and refrigeration facilities (AirB&B, hostel, etc.) so that they have the option to prepare their own meals. A great place to get fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, meats, seafood, bread, spices, honey, and so much more, is the local Farmer ´ s Market (Feria del Agricultor). These Farmer ´ s Market fairs are generally open for business only for 1 or 2 days a week. Just ask a local for which days. The photos here are from the Feria in Grecia which opens from 8 to 8 on Fridays and mornings until 1pm on Saturdays. This is one of the biggest Ferias in the country and plenty of food choices are here as well as various Sodas for a quick breakfast or lunch and even a full aisle of arts and crafts for sale. After a few visits to one you will develop favorite vendors and you will know when to get there by so that they don ´ t run out of your preferred products. In my case I have to hurry because I know that after 1pm on Friday it is very likely that the fresh Tuna and the Bagels as well as the organic fruits and vegetables, including that delicious local garlic, will more than likely be sold out! If you have the opportunity, do go and enjoy shopping at a Feria del Agricultor anywhere in Costa Rica!
