In the past it was mostly Retirees that would make up the Ex-Pat population in the country but now, as a result of a variety of events in North America and Europe, such as the Pandemic, which gave remote work a really big push by both showing that it was feasible and giving people a taste of the advantages of working from home plus the seemingly increasing intensity in natural disasters and more extreme weather which is becoming the norm where before it was the exception in North America and Europe. Now when you look at this reality and compare it to living in Costa Rica, more and more people are deciding that it is the right time to make the move.
