OF OCOTAL, PLAYA HERMOSA & PLAYA PANAMÁ PLAYA DEL COCO AND THE NEARBY BEACHES

Located just a short 25 km. drive from the Liberia International Airport, this area is easily reached and has so much to offer. Originally centered on Sports-fishing it developed a very strong attraction as a dive destina- tion as many dive shops set up for business due to its proximity to some great dive sites including Isla Santa Catalina and Isla Murciélago, all teeming with abundant marine life to enjoy. Many hotels, shops, markets and other accommodations have sprung up in the area as well as an ample variety of restaurants and fun places to enjoy the nightlife. High end residentials and luxury condo- minium developments have also been built and offer both properties for sale as well as a wide variety of vacation rentals. Just 4 km. to the southwest of Playa del Coco is Playa Ocotal, with a quiet, scenic beach that is great to swim or go snorkeling in. There are many high-end homes and accommodations but no town to speak of. To the north, just over 5 km. away, from Playa del Coco we find Playa Hermosa which offers a beautiful ample sheltered bay which has seen a variety of luxurious devel- opment and continues to do so. Just 5 minutes north of Playa Hermosa is Playa Panamá with breathtaking views and wonderful beaches to re- lax on and close to some great Na- tional Parks.
