PLAYA HERRADURA

B efore the late 1990´s Playa Herradura was a quiet rural beach used mainly by local fishermen and local tourists and campers, however with the arrival of The Los Sueños Marina and Golf Course and the Marriott Hotel this sleepy beach was thrown into the spotlight.  Now it is like two separate Herradura beaches that have sprung up as you come in on the one single road.  To the North of the road you have a World Class Resort with a marina teeming with rows of luxury yachts and sportfishing boats.  On shore you have a major hotel, tons of luxury condos and homes and an awesome golf course where golf buggy carts are the norm but to the South of the road you find a mostly local crowd and some quaint bars and restaurants and near the shore lots of small local fishing boats.  A major development is in the works on this south-end and could change that significantly in the near future.
